Jack was the fourth child and second son born to Captain Scott and Ann Dupong.
He was born 12 January 1867 at 4 p.m. in Greenock, Scotland.
John was born at 13 Inverkip Street in Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland. Hisfather Joseph was not present at his birth and his mother's mark
was witnessed by the Assistant Registrar H. MacMillan.
John (Jack) Scott was known to be a Harbour Master in Dublin, Ireland.
He was physically handicapped, only having one hand. He was married to
a lady by the name of Flora. To our knowledge, they had no children.
