Well, I'm new to this forum and only found it because I did a search on my maiden name Capperauld. I know this is not a common name so I've always been curious about where the other Capperaulds are. My father David was born in Paisley Scotland.

Is there anyone else belonging to this forum with this surname? I'm excited to find out!

The Capperauld / Caperauld connection with our family isn't particularly strong. David Caperauld is "the husband of my first cousin twice removed". Have you seen the reference in the descendant chart? It looks like this:

I'm trying to find out information on my wifes family. As far as we can make out she is the only person left in her family. We can find out about her mother and her mothers sister and brother, who was killed in WW2.
On her mothers certificate her grandfathers name was Charles Patrick McConnochie and the mother was Jessie Patterson McConnochie formerly Capperauld. I have drawn a blank on all names, so we are trying to start from the begining. We would be most grateful if anyone on the Capperauld could shine any form of light on the name Capperauld. Married around the 1900s.
